As we grow, Lifehack Method is looking for a Welcome Call Coach to support our Lifehack Tribe membership community. This is a key role because this person will host 20-minute one-on-one calls with new Tribe members. This is a “handshake” call where new members get introduced to the community and get oriented. Making a good first impression is crucial to a member’s success in the program.   

This position requires someone outgoing, who loves meeting new people, listens intently and can empathize easily with others. This person is reliable, friendly and gives off a warm energy. Importantly, this person has achieved personal success in the Lifehack Tribe program and can share stories of success with new members.  

Welcome Call Coach Role

We’re looking for an outgoing, friendly and empathetic coach to join our team. This role is responsible for hosting one-on-one calls with new members throughout the week. They set their own schedule and manage their calls impeccably. This role is great for coaches who are looking for experience. 

The right person loves to work independently, does not need the constant presence of co-workers, and craves a working environment free from distractions and interruptions. They are positive, excited to meet new people, and love talking one-on-one with others. This role reports to the CEO, Carey Bentley, and involves coordination with various other team members too. 

Welcome Call Coach Responsibilities

  • Host one-on-one, 20-minute calls with new Tribe members to welcome them into the community and make sure they’re aware of key member resources 
  • Read new member surveys before their call
  • Send pre-call emails and post-call emails
  • Track number of calls and number of cancellations weekly
  • Share personal stories of how using the method has improved their productivity or lifestyle 
  • Be thinking constantly about ways to improve the process and suggest changes to Carey via Asana
  • Enthusiastic about trying new ways of leading the call (even when not given perfect instructions) 
  • Seek out feedback from Carey and Demir to continually improve as a leader of this call

Welcome Call Coach Requirements

  • Personal Results – you’ve implemented some of the Lifehack Method in your life and seen exciting results. You are inspired by how impactful this work can be for yourself and others! 
  • Friendly and warm – others frequently describe you as open and welcoming. You like other people and other people like you.
  • Models Lifehack Method values – you make a great first impression because you’re clearly in control of your time and schedule, you pre-plan your week consistently and you’ve either worked your way through the Lifehack Method Roadmap or you’re in the process of doing so.
  • Great presentation – you have a place in your house or office with a great background (not a Zoom background blur or stock photo), great lighting on your face (no down lighting from overhead lights please), and ability to stand up while at your desk. Your webcam is high quality and shows a crisp, clear image in 1080p or higher. 
  • Reliability – if you have been scheduled to lead a call, you will be there no matter what. Zero flakiness will be tolerated. If you absolutely need to reschedule due to an emergency or conflict, you do so with as much advance notice as possible. 
  • Open to feedback – you don’t get perturbed when someone gives you feedback on how to improve. In fact, you seek it out because you want to grow. 
  • Fast internet – minimum internet speeds of 100 mpbs download and 20 mpbs upload (test yours at https://speedtest.net/ )

Welcome Call Coach Results

  • Consistently generates positive feedback from new members after their calls with you, such as “that call was very helpful” or “I’m more excited than ever about this community”
  • Low dropout rates – new members who have calls with you have significantly lower dropout rates in the first three months of membership than those who do not have a welcome call
  • Uses the Lifehack Method to continually see improvements and gains in your personal life, so that you can authentically see the value in what we do here and share that success with new members

Hours & Pay

  • This position is a part-time contractor position. 
  • It pays $25 an hour and includes any time related to the welcome calls (such as preparation, reading the surveys, sending pre- and post- emails, implementing improvements, etc) 
  • You can work as many or as few hours as you would like, although we recommend 10-15 hours a week
  • Track your hours on your own using a service like Toggl or Harvest

Location

  • This position is 100% remote. The right person will see that as a huge benefit to achieving their lifestyle goals. 

Communication Expectations

  • Use extreme ownership when communicating with the team. If there is something you need that you aren’t getting, it is your responsibility to follow up and ask for it, multiple times if necessary. 
  • Training materials will be provided via the team Asana workspace
  • Most of our communication will happen via Asana
  • There is also a team whatsapp thread that you can be added to if you wish, it is primarily for sharing wins. It is optional.
  • There is also one weekly team meeting that you can attend if you wish. It is optional. 

Availability 

  • You can work as many or as few hours as you would like, although we recommend 10-15 hours a week
  • You are in charge of your own schedule, so you can open up blocks of time as you’re available to host welcome calls
  • However, once you’re booked for a call, we ask that you do not reschedule it. If you absolutely need to reschedule a call, you check to see if the other welcome call coaches are available and can take your call for you.
